The more water content is the honey with lower Baume degree, or the immature honey is more likely to deteriorate. Honey should be stored tightly and protected from light. How to store honey?

1. Honey should be stored in a low temperature and dark place. Because honey is a weakly acidic liquid, it can chemically react with metals. When it comes into contact with metals such as lead, zinc, and iron during storage, chemical reactions occur. Therefore, non-metallic containers such as ceramics and Round Honey Glass Jar should be used to store honey. Honey should also be kept away from odor, moisture, fermentation, and pollution during storage.

2. After buying honey, store it in non-metallic containers such as ceramics and non-toxic plastics. Do not use iron containers! Honey should be stored in a cool, dry, clean, ventilated place with a temperature of 5-10°C and air humidity not exceeding 75%.

3. Honey should be kept in a sealed container. Tools used for honey should be washed and dried to prevent water from entering. Honey dissolved in water can easily ferment and deteriorate. Good honey generally crystallizes below 15 to 18°C and turns into white or light yellow crystals.

4. Don't store honey in metal containers

Because honey is a weakly acidic liquid, it can chemically react with metals. When it comes into contact with metals such as lead, zinc, and iron during storage, chemical reactions occur. Therefore, non-metallic containers, such as ceramics, glass bottles, non-toxic plastic buckets, etc. should be used to store honey. Honey should be placed in a cool, dry, clean, ventilated environment with a temperature of 5-10 ° C and an air humidity not exceeding 75%.

5. The container containing honey should be tightly closed to prevent air leakage and reduce the contact between honey and air. Honey has the ability to absorb moisture from the air. Excessive moisture absorption by honey will reduce the concentration and easily cause fermentation and deterioration. The tools for taking honey should be washed and dried, and the container should be covered after each consumption of honey to prevent contamination.

6. Store in different varieties. There are different types of honey in various places, such as betel honey, rape nectar, citrus nectar, vitex nectar, jujube nectar, etc., have their own characteristics and flavors. Should be stored in different varieties to prevent mixing.

7. Keep honey clean. Put the honey in a large vat and let it stand for 3 days in a drying room at 20°C (it only needs to be stored for 10 hours at 35°C) to remove the specific impurities and then store it separately.

8. Prevent honey fermentation. Put the immature honey into a large mouth container, and leave it open in a dry, ventilated room at a temperature above 25°C for several days, and store it after evaporation of excess water.

9. Prevent the honey from absorbing moisture. The container for storing honey should be sealed and placed in a dry, ventilated room at 5-10°C. Do not place objects with strong odors in the room to prevent honey from absorbing the odor.
